The following terms are used throughout this catalog in the parts text sections, and in the current price list.
A/R = “ As Required”. You can order however many you want to do the job. You may have to make a size decision based on an assembly fitting dimension.
Cad Plated = The part is plated with cadmium.
Call = Found in the price list only, and used in conjunction with the terms in the parts text “ Call for availability and price “. The availability and price of this part varies. This also applies to some small-lot production new parts as well as used parts.
Fasteners = Nuts, bolts, washers, and screws. Most hardware is correct style, please specify if there is a question.
Ft. = Sold in any length by one “ Foot “ increments.
Improvement = Use of this part “ improves “ the motorcycles’ smoothness, performance, or life.
Kit(s) = An assembly of parts that can only be purchased that way in order to get every item in the “Kit”. All items in the “Kit” are indented 3 spaces in the part description column of the text section.
NOS = “New Old Stock”, an “Indian” factory original part (sometimes cosmetically blemished), that has never been used.
Pr. - = Pair, usually matched for every part, unless shown otherwise.
Qt. = Sold only by the “Quart”.
Qty. = Quantity required per motorcycle for that Group.
Replacement = A modern part which works properly in fit and function, but does not always look exactly original.
Set = Something that can only be used successfully with another something, and can only be purchased as a “set”.
SOLD USED AS-IS = Condition and usability vary. A reasonably accurate description can be given over the telephone, but no refunds, or credits can be given after purchase.
U/M = Unit of measure for each part. In the parts text U/M column when there is no callout for a special unit of measure the unit will always be EACH.
